  • Travail-rhythmic clipping sound

As the title states I get a rhythmic clipping sound when first starting Travail (only) up in any client. Like...1,2,3,4,5,6.......7. It disappears usually sometime after teleporting. It's on both channels and as I turn I can hear it more prevalent from the direction I am turned. Using Linux. Here is my lsmod readout as it pertains to sound.
    Code:
    lsmod
    snd_hda_intel 22005 2
    snd_hda_codec 74201 2 snd_hda_codec_realtek,snd_hda_intel
    snd_hwdep 5412 1 snd_hda_codec

Also this is not using the Travail soundtrack.
It's also not playing demos and the website says there are new demos and my console reads "demos in loop".

Well, for starters ... what is your definition of "any client".

Did you try Quakespasm or FitzQuake 0.80 SDL?

If you get the problem in Quakespasm, I'd post in this thread: http://www.celephais.net/board/view_thread.php?id=60452
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

That would be yes and yes in addition to Darkplaces and Qrack.

Very interesting. Noticed your post in the Quakespasm thread. I have not tried Travail on Linux yet, but I'll personally try this sometime just to see what happens.

I do have a gut feeling that this is probably not experienced by all Linux users, I would guess that people like Spirit or the Quakespasm guys would have experienced it first hand or those like Goldenboy that are full-time Linux users.
