  • Getting radiant to work with Darkplaces

    Heya,

Currently I'm trying to create maps for Darkplaces with GTK Radiant, although I so far do not know how to set radiant up to work with Darkplaces.

Would anybody know how to configure Radiant with Darkplaces?

    Thanks in advanced.

    See Golden-Boy, he has a tut http://quakeone.com/forums/quake-hel...g-radiant.html
Support for Quake 1 file formats was added to GtkRadiant in version 1.5.0-2005-01-16, so make sure that the version you download is more recent than that

    Here are some toolshttp://user.tninet.se/~xir870k/

There's a darkradiant also but I'm not sure if it has anything to do with DP.[http://darkradiant.sourceforge.net/

To be honest I have no idea why there is a Darkplaces gamepack for Radiant, since DP is an engine, not a game.

        A Quake engine at that.

Dark Radiant was modified for use in mapping for The Dark Mod, a Doom 3 conversion (Thief remake). It can probably be used for Quake mapping.

          Aha,

The reason I asserted Darkplaces was because I thought I could create a map with the darkplaces features in mind (like larger possible map sizes or any other features lurking in the engine).

Thanks for the help, although I still have the issue of the textures not being picked up by the browser.
