extracting skins?

HI there, Just wondering if anyone can help me with this conundrum;

I'd like to extract some skins from some old .mdl files yet have no idea of how to do it.

Does anyone know of a free software (or another method?) that will allow me to do this?
If so I'd be very gratefull...

I know you dont like QME
Even I suggested this little beauty a few times to you.
You really should try it once.
Simply open the .mdl and use "export skin".
Thats it.

Be brave and try it...

Its not I don't like Its just I've been too damned lazy to use it.
