Dopey Bunny can't connect over the last week. Not sure if Shmack is down or if it is time to change my config. Thanks for the help and promise free carrots if you get me back on the servers!
if windows shows two network connections, one lan, one modem, try to disable your lan connection before restarting qrack (reenable after and apologise to house-mates).
If that fixes it, say so, so people know they actually need to fix it...
I pinged the server's ip directly and it came back like 80ms
after running for like 3 minutes !
I cant connect either with any client. Always this server

Clients in the future probably need to network connectivity test themselves.
If someone has a frustrating issue like this that can have 15 possible culprits depending on the circumstance, clients should have a nettest command that prints to the console AND copies to the clipboard what is working and what is not.
Seems unfair for someone with an undefined problem (that is likely simple) has so little to go on to resolve the matter.
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.
So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...
ping and dns seem ok to shmack.
I wonder how it is from her side though.
I wish I had not forgotten how to proxy quake,if you thought it was ip related you could have a proxy setup for testing routes.
Another thing you could do to reduce efforts would be to make a zipped quake prefab dir that you know is good. Have them download it and run that .

Is there any chance that an isp would block the ports?
I have heard rumors about blocking torrents.

HappyBunny is Canadian. To the best of my knowledge, they don't have ISPs doing jackbooted stuff secretly.
More than likely, it is a run of the mill issue. Unfortunately, there are like 10 flavors of that.
Rather than speculate ...
HappyBunny ... what happens if you type "test2 quake.shmack.net" in the console in Qrack? If this does something, you have connectivity, but a network issue of some flavor. If it does nothing, some firewall program is likely blocking it. I'm operating on the assumption that this same computer can browse the net.
