  • Qrack 1.55 reacts slowly

In last two days ... Qrack 1.54 ... is/was acting wierd ... it's like its on pause. I'm using my right mouse button to move forward and just sit there ... then all of a sudden I take off ... zipping through the ... port doorway ... slaming into the wall ... in front.

When If first fired up Qrack 1.54 ... this wasn't happening.

Okay ... thank you for showing me where Qrack 1.55 is at [I'm trying to figure out how I missed that]

I made a different folder in another Drive and installed Qrack 1.55 ... but I'm still having the same problem ... slow reaction ... I hold down the forward button or my right mouse button and a few seconds ... after holding it down ... I zoom forward.

This slow reaction is also happening in the OPTIONS section too ... everything is taking a few seconds before moving to the next selection.

I've got 2 gigs of DDR Ram ... CPU is a AMD 64Bit 3500 ... system runs at 2.2 GHZ.

Any body here ... have any ideas as to why this is happening ??

EZQuake ... I can play with no problem !!

Yellow and, of course, R00k are the resident QRack experts here. I'm posting my thoughts, but they are the experts on QRack .. not me.

I do know it is absolutely imperative you have -mem 32 on the command line in QRack.

My first 2 guesses would be either:

    1. You need -mem 32 on the command line
    2. Or ... you need to set cl_maxfps to 60 (or 72 or some other non-skyhigh number)
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

Have you tried ProQuake and made sure it doesn't happen in that as well?
