DarkPlaces UI?

Hi,

I Recently acquired the Quake Enhanced,
It has DarkPlaces version 1.0.0.0

When I run the "DarkPlaces.exe" there is no U.I, i mean bar down below the screen where it gives info about health and ammo and armor and the keys etc . . . How can I activate it?

also, as a beginner (returning to play quake after years - very long years), i have seen alot of enhancement mods, specially graphical, what should I get? I have seen alot of releases, but . . . which one you suggest?

What do you mean you "acquired" Quake Enhanced? There is no such thing as Quake Enhanced, there is no such thing as DarkPlaces 1.0.0.0.

First of all, get a clean Quake (9,99USD on Steam - QUAKE on Steam - it's worth the money), get the latest DarkPlaces build - LordHavoc's DarkPlaces Quake Modification - then just search this forums for enhanced effects, such as effectinfo.txt, new monsters and new items. Also, check out QRP - :: Quake Revitalization Project :: Downloads :: - and download the latest texture replacement pack.

Tried pushing the - + buttons beside 0 on your keyboard? Those resize the HUD.
