  • How to change loading graphic

Can someone assist in telling me first why the loading graphic looks different in the pics I've included? Is it due to the version of DP or...?
Next, how do I change the graphic. I'd like the folder that has my favorite combination of items, effects, etc to have the loading graphic from version 2.
    Thanks

the first is the newer version of the 'loading' graphic...

these files are stored in the id/gfx folder, just browse and check out the files, most are png's or tga's... should be a simple case of overpasting the required file...

        @osjclatchford
Tried to change it with no luck. I'm using the HD for new spawns package and found the gfx folder in a pak file. Deleted the old one and replaced with the new, but no luck. What am I misssing?

          Hello gdiddy62,

if you ONLY use the content of "HD for new spawns", there is no external pak file.
There are only pk3 files inside of that compilation.

There are 2 different pk3 files inside that compilation, that contain the menu textures, you are talking about:
          - x_HUD+Menu-Seven.pk3
          - x_HUD_QRP_Moon[Drunk].pk3

These menu textures are ALL Moon[Drunk]s work.
Moon[Drunk] made many different sets of menus.
Your sample #1 is his newest work/set (just like osjclatchford said).
          This set is inside "x_HUD_QRP_Moon[Drunk].pk3"
Your sample #2 is the set that you will find inside "x_HUD+Menu-Seven.pk3"

You can of course mix them just as you like.
Hope that could help you a bit...

            Hello Seven!
Thank you that helps me 100%.
The pak file I was referring to was pak0. It has a gfx folder in it with the loading file. I did not know where else to look and you fixed that for me! I seem to forget that the pk3 files will often override others.
            Regards
            Jeff
