  • Freaky music glitch in DirectQ

    SOLVED

Ok so I haven't played Quake on this computer in a while. I have since put the Hexen 2 soundtrack into my hexen 2 install and I have the songs elsewhere. I was testing out custom music a while back and downloaded a remix version of the Wastelands song from Hexen 1 and put it in a hexen 2 level.

Here's the weird part - Quake 1, music works fine - but if i load up hipnotic (with or without Quoth) only 1-2 of the quake tracks plays and the rest of the music is replaced by the Wastelands song which is in multiple places, COMPLETELY AWAY FROM ANYTHING RELATED TO QUAKE.

When I play quoth without hipnotic more Quake songs play, but that track also plays on several levels, and the tracks are out of order.

Quoth and hipnotic with Quake music were fine before, idk what is going on now.

Gonna try removing any wastelands.mp3 song to see if it works.

EDIT: Found out the problem. Apparently DirectQ uses any music it finds in C:/music instead of what you have in Quake/ID1/Music
