  • Sound problems

Hi. I'm having sound problems with Quake 1 and with its expansion Scourge of Armagon. I've understood that if you use some client with Quake 1 you can have the sound. In fact i have tried WinQuake and i had sound in Quake 1 but not in with Scourge of Armagon. How is it possible to have sound on Scourge of Armagon? Some console command? Writing something on .exe? If i type "soundlist" in console it gives me this message: Total Resident: 0. And when i start the game it gives me this message: "The blaster environment variable is not set, sound effects are disabled. See Readme.txt for help. Press a key." I couldnt find any help from Readme.
I'm having Quake installed on Win98se
    Version 1.07

/ Probably connected to the internet with a dialup modem and free AOL starter disk.

[Is kind of surprised DarkPlaces worked on that machine ...]
