  • proquake help #2

Ok I got proquake to run on my psp, you just need to buy the full quake and transfer the pak files in the id folder.

But there is another problem I face, I want to play online and I am unable to play on this one server "quake.shmack.net " because every time I connect, I crash with an error saying "Z_Malloc: failed on allocation of 40 bytes". I searched around for a solution and the closest I found was here:

    http://quakeone.com/forums/quake-hel...-40-bytes.html

This thread is for the pc, and i'm on psp, so the fix may be different.

memory error, somehow you need more memory (impossible)/or/ need to manipulate a command line function so that it uses less memory?

Plz play quake on PC lol?

The psp slim has 64 megs o memory, and the quake console says its using only 32. btw I dont want to play quake on pc, cause I play tf2 on it, I only play quake on psp when I have a bit of free time. Its much more challenging to play on the psp too.

Baker told me to add "-zone 8192" to the command line file and it works, I can play the server that I usually crash on. I even think I see better frame rates.
