Quake on Laptop

Ive tried to connect to Bigfoot with my laptop.
Get connected to server but nothing more......What do i do wrong?

Well first time on laptop so... it runs in single player but as i connect it says connected to server and nothing more! Turned of firewall on comp but no difference!Thing is this is no good laptop so i need a very basic client!! run with Glquake and that might be the prob! direct doesent work. neither does Dq!

have you tried pro-quake? (anybody more qualified please jump in here...)

Try proquake , wqpro or glpro.
Add your ip to the commanline.

Fxp : glpro.exe -ip 192.168.0.1 <------ this is just a example , add your own ip there.
