  • Mouse Wheel config

    Hey guys.

SO i have a simple question here.
I am using ProQuake 451 ( wpro_api_451.exe ) and i have a question about the mouse wheel controls binding.

So, right now, scrolling the MW (mouse wheel) up or down has the same effect: my character grabs the next weapon on his inventory.

I would like to set it so that scrolling up goes to the next weapon and scrolling down goes to the prev.

How can i do that? And also, how to make ProQuake save my video settings?

    Thanks.

Menu -> Customize Controls ... move cursor to next weapon and scroll mouse wheel the way you want.

    Or

    bind "mwheelup" "impulse 10"
    bind "mwheeldown" "impulse 12"

I don't have a "next weapon" thing on my "customize controls" menu.

Also, if i set those bindings in the config.cfg file, nothing changes: mwdown and mwup do the same thing, slecting the next weapon.

The ingame console does not recognize "inpulse 12" or "impulse12". Same for "impulse 10" and "impulse10" - No such command.

I think it may be good to say that I am running the Team Fortress Mod. Not sure if that changes anything. Thnx.

You type what I posted in the console. Press "~" to pull up the console or do menu->go to console.

why make an alias; you can bind the impulse directly.

Because its dynamic,if I bound directly and did not have that weapon it would not change. This way it changes to the next most powerful and I don't give up my RL,unless I fail to use it or get caught firing. All weapons are bound to 2 keys instead of 8.

                            De fak.
Nothing works. Binding "impulse 12" or "impulse 10" wont make a friggin difference. They both "scroll" weapons "up".
Also, wuts up with that "impulse 8 5 4 3 2 1"? Used it, and it only displays "TF2.8 help".

                            Anyoneee???

Stacked impulses is a Qrack feature. And beyond that the impulse numbers are specific to standard Quake. Mods can and do have different values that do different things. If Quake cant differentiate between mouse up and down, either you have a problem with your client or mouse or both.

But, the point stated earlier scrolling thru your inventory is a SLOW way to get what u need. Binding individual keys for each weapon is faster.
