Glitchy graphics and FOV

Trying to just play in any resolution that works, but I keep having problems with blood hitting the floor and the hud being oversized or off in the corner (see screenshots).

I dont really know what to do, but the rest of the game is working fine aside from the listed artifacts. Any suggestions?

current graphics card is the Gigabyte 7970.
