Vegetous made a Rocket Arena map from the END map (out of GPL'd map source release). This was way back in October (has it been that long already?)
The download of this map doesn't seem to be available right now, but I really like the colors (although hopefully those aren't replacement textures, but I can't see how the map would look that great without them).
I think well designed CA maps with lava would interesting.
Yellow always talks about the concept of expanding the QuakeOne map pack to include more maps, but so few maps have actually been identified that would even be worthwhile to add.
The only map I can think of personally is efdm12 and gendm1 (or is it gendm2).
On Another Note
For what is now a VERY long time, everyone who has downloaded the rocket arena maps from this site (a substantial number of people) have all of the Expo Rocket Arena maps (that used to be run on Rook's rocket arena server) and Aquashark's Rocket Arena maps.
It would be cool to put those to use; people already have them and don't know it
