I guess its back but i'm having trouble with it
it says i connect and them says 3 demos in my console and won't load a map
can anyone help?

That sounds like Gooland.

Easy to fix: upgrade from GLQuake or WinQuake to ProQuake.

You are encountering what is known as the "Connection Accepted" problem because GLQuake cannot communicate thru an NAT router.

ProQuake looks like GLQuake or WinQuake but does not have this problem. Almost everyone who plays uses ProQuake.

Upgraded Gooland to ProQuake. Hopefully that will help you and/or others.

Sircamps, are you using ProQuake? I can effortlessly connect to Gooland and so can RocketGuy, for example.

If not, you definitely should be. Although it is good that Rah switched the server to ProQuake (for reasons unrelated to this), it is the client that needs to be running ProQuake (client = you/me/everyone else).

Qrack/JoeQuake/DarkPlaces also, like ProQuake, don't have this issue.

As a "hack", type "ping" in the console when that happens and I bet you connect.

That's messy, but that often works to force a non-NAT fixed client to connect with that error.
