Hey man I would love to try - I didn't even know they had multiplayer for Quake - Last I played it was on my PC - I think it was a 486sx or something (Good ol days). Where can I sign up for multiplayer? Also can I pay with Paypal? As long as I get a receipt or an invoice, I don't mind. Thx!

You don't need to pay to use the server although contributions are always welcome. I would humbly suggest that once you have quake installed and working and then have upgraded to one of the newer engines like Qrack, MarkV, Darkplaces, or even good old proquake, you can try dropping in to console using the tilde key and then type...

connect quake.shmack.net:26000

or

connect newyork.quakeone.com:26000

to see if you connect to a server. Some engines have an ingame browser these days to make it even easier. Please note that depending on your set up you may need to alter your firewall.

Id be online if I knew where and when. Just went through the server list and couldnt connect to a single server and even if I could.. I still lack time to sit there and wait a few weeks for someone to connect. We need a better way to communicate and people who are interested need to be aware of how to reach each other.
