  • Comand line for dedicated Coop?

    Is it possible to run a decicated proquake server running a cooperative multplayer game i.e. Server clients playing together against the various quake monsters. I know RG has done this using his RQuake mod but the newbie players who are going to play this at an event I'm going to would find the Rquake monsters too hard and to be honest it would just scare them off. I wondered is it possible to use 'normal' mod-less proquake to do this. If so, would someone be kind enough to tell me the command line e.g wqpro.exe - cooperative 8 ?

    if it's just vanilla quake, have this in your server's autoexec.cfg:

    Code:
    coop 1;
    deathmath 0;
    teamplay 1; // no self damage but you can't hurt players on your team either

      Thanks CS you're a diamond! :d I'm just introducing some new blood in to Quake over a reasonably high spec'd LAN and wanted to break them in gently.

        u can vote Rquake Team CoOp to vanilla style monsters using the "vote-vanilla" command btw (no runes either then)

          Thanks Peg. It might also be interesting to see if it's possible to run a Coop version of the DMP mod just for laughs. I'll keep you posted

          Update: Although it allows various modes of teamplay it doesnt allow us against the monsters as far as I can see (oh bugger! ) Maybe the great QuakeC luminaries like Zop or Rook might be willing to modify this for us Puuuuullleeeeeeeaaaassse .
