Rage is setup terribly

I just would like to point out that the settings at Rage are, in my opinion really bad.

If there are 3 players or 5 players present, you can't do 3 teams.

Plus it has the "5th guy" doesn't get to play right away thing. I was in a 4 on 4 game and someone cc'd to my team (yay!) and I left immediately because I didn't come to the server to sit around and do nothing because some bonehead cc'd.

It would be really nice if those settings were reverted because based on what I have seen it causes a lot of players to play at SpeakNow instead.

Except that some Rage players get bad ping @ speaknow because they are in the West USA, so instead of playing at Speaknow they simply don't play.

/Yes, I know that the settings are Rage are due to player feedback or a response to a problem that arose with newbies cc'ing. But I'd say the cure is worse than the disease.

p.s.: Can Phenom be unbanned at Rage? Did he serve his time or whatever?

As you pointed out I keep it setup however the people who are actually willing to play there request me to. It was set to 2 teams pldown 4 (for dm3 anyways) due to that fact that the server was devolving into chaos whenever it started to fill up. I see on speaknow it stays mostly orderly now without limiting teams, so people are keeping it more organized on their own. I'll change the setup.

As for Phenom, Baker I pm'ed you with my suggestion for handling that a few months ago. Did you forget about that and your rather ridiculous response? Obviously it would be foolish to believe he will engage in anything besides his usual jackassery, but I will unban him anyways. Maybe if I'm bored I'll even dig out my demo of why I banned him last time, which was strangely different from what he reported on the forum.

I guess I wanted some CA action and it was frustrating not being able to do 3 teams @ Rage, but Paul has bad ping @ Speaknow so that wasn't an option either.

I remember that I had a ridiculous response, but I don't remember too much about it now, actually. I didn't want any more drama -- of which I mostly to try to stay out of.
