Whats the mod/server settings? and where is the server located? Some people want to know these things before they invest time in checking it out

    QuakeOne.com/qrack

Feels like Rune Quake with some light modification.

I pinged 60 there which isn't to bad, especially since the server felt responsive and smooth.

      Goodjob!

Runequake out of the box, with no modifications as yet.

        Server is located in Virginia.

          I pinged pretty well - around 60-70.

Good good, how is that in comparison with other servers?

About the same. There was one little thing I noticed, but it might have to do with my client.

Phenom was idling on the server, and he had the wierdness rune. So I was messing around getting the bubbles, and the "twirly head" wierdness didn't do anything to me.

I'm using Qrack so it might have to do with that, but I thought I would bring it up. The server is really cool, and I'd love to get some games started soon.

awesome server, just checked it out a little bit ago, although noone was on at the time. Great pings. 45-50 apposed to 70-100 on shmack, shmack is still a good server.

I use Ubutnu 11.04 and Windows 7 on my Computer.

Joequake/qrack clients don't seem to have the ability to render the twirly head, since they don't use punchangle (or maybe it's disabled?)

I don't know if you know this, but you can private message Solecord for a quakeone.com DNS. Decide what you want the xxx.quakeone.com to be.

Jackhole also DNS'es servers (xxx.quake1.net), and has a contact form here:

                    http://www.quake1.net/contact.cgi
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

Thanks for that Baker. I'm in the process of registering a domain, but I guess you can never have too many addresses!

'Proper' domain now live, therefore DNS quake.etchespark.net now works also.
