I want to play Quake online again :)

Hey all!

I've been reading the guides and the forums and its just too much information to absorb!

Could someone please break it down for me simply?

I have the full version of Quake (1.09).

Maybe a list of instructions like:

1. install quake normally
2. install _____
3. do this
4. do that
5. have fun

I know I'm asking a lot but please help!

(O and I'd prefer at least some kind of non-software graphics mode if at all possible. Other than that, I want what's most popular within the community etc)

Either use the Qrack that it sounds like you are already using or use ProQuake 3.99z (download).

With ProQuake 3.99z, just start it up and press ESC for the menu and then do Multiplayer --> Join Game and pick a server.
