  • Setting up a server

    so...ive looked through the threads...apparently coop/lan gaming has issues. But in any case, thats what im trying to do. I seem to have forgotten quite a bit, so i needed to ask... How exactly do i go about setting up a dedicated server? In order to play Vanilla coop/ runequake coop....

    Read this thread: http://quakeone.com/forums/quake-tal...ke-server.html

      meh :/ i looked through that thread...it doesnt really tell me much in terms of how to actually setup a dedicated server. It does however talk about east coast/ ny servers for coop...which dont really help me. I did mention in my last post that im from ny, which i am, but atm im in pakistan for med school

      *edit*
      im hella dumb, after looking at some more threads i remembered i cld run winproquake4 w/ -dedicated....seems to work i just need to figure out the other commands

        o.O;

        Well, I can tell you that it doesn't take much at all. For $20 bucks a month, you can get a 10 player Q1 server plus web space.

        Contact these guys:

        FatPipe Servers

        They'll set you up a NY server.

          most mods have a readme file which tell you how to set up the server.
          Cbuf_AddText (va("say ZeroQuake GL version 1.10\n"));
