WAT up Quake! I got a problm
i downloaded Quake GX 0.05 on the homebrew channel for the Wii Console. i Know the servers to connect to but when i connect it sends me a bunch of messeges telling me whats goin on in the game. HOW DO I GET IN THE ACTUAL GAME?????

No im not sure it just had rocket sounds with the Quake Logo on the Back i'LL check again tho...

Yea i did it said "Client Server keepalive model progs/END2.MDL not found" u kno how to fix tht???

sounds like you only have pak0.pak, end2.mdl is the second rune in quake and that comes in pak1.pak, which you'll have to acquire in some way or form.

do you kno where to get it? i dont kno wtf a rune is but im guessing the Quake GX 0.05 version i DL was only half of the full?

pretty much, its the demo/shareware (perhaps it's more like 1/4 of it)

various places, i hear you can get it from steam for the cheaps, but i suppose some people have other ways of collecting it.

Yup, Quake GX 0.05 is just the engine that renders the scenes, but the content (or at least a large part of it) is missing (pak1.pak) which is not legally downloadable for free..

You can buy it on steam or directly from idsoftware.

There have been several special offers on steam where you can pick up all the id games for super cheap, so it might be worth waiting for a deal like that..

In any case.. all you need is the pak0.pak and pak1.pak files (put em in your ~\quake\id1\ folder)
