how exactly do i join the quaketx server/get the ip?
i am in texas yeaaaaah!!

type the following in the console of the game;

connect dm.quaketx.com

the console is accessed by hitting the ` key. which is directly to the left of the 1 key.

Another good server for you would be bomber.quakeone.com, it's in TX

It's a CAx (clan arena x) mod, fun stuff but not as serious as DM but nowhere as noob-friendly as Rocket arena over at quake.shmack.net

Try connecting to the IP but it sounds like your machine is resolving.
What Engine are you running? ProQuake, Qrack, DP, EngineX, Direct, etc? Try updating it or using another engine.

What part of texas? I am in Fort Worth.
