Possible new server

I'm renting a new VPS in chicago, I'd like to test the latency and CPU load with some players to see if it'd be possible to host a full time quake server.

It's running CAx right now, if people can post ping's/tracert and maybe jump on to see how it performs, that'd be awesome

Just checked into a holiday inn in greer,sc and pulled out the laptop. Ping is 80-100 consistently.. Network is a fiber optic 50mbps according to front desk...

Cool thanks, looks like it pings just as well as other chicago servers. Not sure what i'll do yet, doesn't look like there's a shortage of servers, but if there's need for a specific mod, I can host one.

50-60 from NY. But I was the only player on the server. Try running a co-op there maybe for a while, you may get some more players interested in testing the waters...there is a new coop mod listed on the home page here, says they need help fixing some stuff, looks kinda interesting....

Ah, rooks gonna add the warp, nice. The Key fix is probably easy too.....

Post here when you have progs.dat loaded to that server and will check it out. Not many coop servers out there, and I get asked alot where they are by new guys. Does this need special files for sounds , models etc? Didnt take a look yet other than the qc.
