I want to play on a Quake 1 server, I need downloads for the maps, etc. Please help

Download and use a updated Quake client such as ,
Qrack 1.9 and NEWER
ProQuake 4.5 and NEWER
DirectQ 1.9 and NEWER
First pick a client, then attempt connecting to a server. Make sure you try connecting to
bigfoot.quake1.net , it has custom maps and its a sure fire way of testing to see if the client your using has it already enabled / working.
If not, well, pick a client / RE: with which one you chose.
