  • Qrack and lower.md3 upper.md3

Hi, seen some specific code in qrack sources for such md3's, how can i see that shit in action? I need some specific mod or what?

I think that is for Quake 3 style player models.

I think you have to take a Quake 3 player model out of the Quake 3 pk3 files and place it in a certain folder, set a cvar and Qrack will use it.

I've never tried it myself. Some light searching in the JoeQuake forum on the term "Quake 3" might have instructions on how to do it.

JoeQuake and Qrack are very similar engines.

/this is everything I personally know about this, unless Yellow No. 5 or Rook or someone else sees this thread and responds.

Someone has been working on a new player model for quake in md3, it's being discussed and you can download it here: http://quakeworld.nu/forum/viewtopic.php?id=504

He doesn't seem to be working on it much anymore.

I don't know why sombody doesn't just take the original models and add some polys. Isn't there some program that can just do it interpolation?

Taking the models as base is not allowed. Interpolation does not look too good anyways (see Engines with ATI Truform support eg TruQuake or QMB).
