  • Need help decieding on client.

Fuhquake looks fantastic but doesn't save my settings when I exit and I also see that it isn't being supported anymore.
Dark Places runs good but the textures look like ass compared to Fuh.
Joe quake runs great and feels close to the old GLquake but the trilinear option makes everything look like its been painted in stucco.
    Can't decide.

Also does anyone know how to get the music to stream or play from the quake CD in Fuh, I prefer this as I'm a huge nails fan, it works on all the other clients except this one.

Complicated question. The answer depends on what you intend to do with it:

If you want to play single player only, JoeQuake, DarkPlaces and FitzQuake tend to be popular. If you only plan on playing the standard Quake levels, you could use a Quakeworld like FuhQuake or EZQuake.

If you want to play Quake online: ProQuake, Qrack, DarkPlaces and JoeQuake are your options.

If you want to play Quakeworld: FuhQuake and ezQuake are what is used the most.

Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

Is ezquake compatible with the mission packs as well?

Compared to Fuhquake, they are not as sharp I meant to say.

Not really but you can make it work with this:

                http://facelift.quakedev.com/retexture/

these are what I use for better textures in DP. It spices things up a lot, and it still looks like Quake. Theres also better models out there too, I think somewhere in that site. Check it out!
