Dear all,
I noticed, that Darkplaces is quite popular in this forum.
And due to the fact I also LOVE this Engine, I wanted to post
a Link to another Forum, which you maybe also know.
Urre and Zombie developed new unbelievable water effects for Darkplaces and called it:
Pretty Water! v0.1
http://forums.inside3d.com/viewtopic...2a8a131ac93253
(If it is not allowed to post links to there, administrator, please delete. I am sorry)
In case you didnt know about it, it is a MUST TRY / SEE.
The water is extremely realistic looking (reflexions, etc.):
Read more details there and be sure to download it and test it.
(Dont understand me wrong, I dont want to advertising for anything.
I just want you to share this big new development and enjoy it like i do !
It is a big step forward regarding the "whooow effect")
Here are 3 screenshots taken from inside3D
.
Try it in map e1m4 for example to quickly see the new effect. (in the big pond near the beginning)
.

Regards,
Seven
