  • ProQuake 3.99 and PainKeep

I can't get a painkeep (1.11) server to start when using ProQuake (3.99). It keeps telling me it can't load progs/nail.mdl... Anyone got any hints for me?

I tried that. I tried putting the file into the root quake folder, \quake\progs folder, and a quake\models folder. The server refuses to start because no matter what I try, it can't load progs/nail.mdl.

          hmmm Painkeep eh?

I don't know if this helps but I had a very similar problem recently and Rocketguy came up with the solution. As i used to play a lot at the cheatfree servers, I even used to run one, I had the obligatory Qsecurity dll in my folder and he suggested renaming it which immediately cured the problem and my Painkeep server was fine and dandy after that. So full credit and thanks to RG for solving my problem and I hope it works for you.

          Kind regards
