  • Quake II and GLQuake DLights

I was wondering if it would be possible to use the coloured lighting code from Quake 2 with GLQuake? Because it seems to be, theoretically, easier to use the pre-existing code from Q2 and replace most of the DLight code from Q1.
BTW I'm fairly new to Quake coding.

Either/or really. The Q1 code really doesn't need many modifications to extend it to 3 component (you could maybe do it in half an hour if you were familiar enough with the code), and by the time you've finished shoe-horning the QII code in (and accounting for subtle differences like use of floating point styles in QII) you might find that you'll have done just as much work as if you had just modified the basic code.
