  • Greetings

    Hello,

Dunno if this is the right place but, I used to play Quake religiously for years back in my late teens mid 20's and gave up after Quake 3. Went to partying, chics, and alcohol. Lately, been doing the MMO from EQ for the last few years with college, and work. Recently I bought the Quake FV from STEAM!!!!!! The last few days been playing single player GLQuake with steam. I only have two questions.

    1. How do i fix it form 640x 480 to goto a graphics higher rez.

    and

    2. How do I play online? if there is still an online community for servers?

The last time I played this with multi players I supplied all the tcp/ip/ipx/spx/token ring network cards and created the batch file for ms dos.

    Thanks for all your help,

    Liq

    LiquidX?

Anyway, first of all download a newer client from the homepage(down on the right). Get either QRack or ProQuake. GLQuake is very dated, i'm suprised it still works on today's machines. You'll be able to change resolutions directly in the client through the options screen.

For multiplayer, typically we all type "connect xxx.xxxxxxx.com" in the console. There is a server list, again on the home page on the right. Hover over to see the host name in which to connect to.

    Hope this helps
