  • Darkplaces look more like ProQuake or Qrack+ fullpitch?

I'm tryn to get Darkplaces to resemble qrack or more preferable ProQuake under Linux. since I can't get qrack to compile I've resorted to Darkplaces... and its a fine engine but I don'tneed all the detalis it offers out of box. (by resemble i mean rl explosions, shaft etc...)

Also how do you turn off full pitch in Darkplaces? I don't like that I can look up 90 degrees as when I go to RJ it launches the grenades behind me when I'm in a hurry, thanks!

    Also

In DP under Linux my sound is very choppy and so it the game play (seems sound related) any suggestions other then disable sound in DP?

My FPS Are pretty good I get around 300FPS so its not my video card. and sometimes the sound cuts out completly then everything is smooth.

Setting the pitch is something like cl_pitch_min and cl_pitch_max

      Set the max to 80
      Set the min to -70

This will get the Quake proper settings.

        The actual cvars are:

        in_pitch_min
        in_pitch_max

Just in case you have trouble finding them... otherwise, what baker said ^^
