    Baker, rook, relax. Don't be all Sherlock and Watson on this one... we got rid of Magnus. Just let this one slide. Patton(stolen) figured out how to fix this months ago, and it's simple. He doesn't want a simple fix, he obviously WANTS to quit quake.

    So let him. If others still need help, patton and peg both explained a very simple fix.

      I agree, he acts like he is risking world destruction by altering his "windows settings". It is unticking a simple damn setting in the mouse properties of the control panel. FUCK HIM. Also this could be done by simply downloading the software for his mouse. You know he has to have some expensive ass mouse...dude has 14 monitors and 5 250GB ssd set in a raid and im pretty sure he bought the chair off of Grandma's boy that has you laying upside down to play while he stairs at his 15 screeens. Look at his resolution 3billion x 1 billion. And he won't untick a stupid mouse property setting.

        -nojoy - Doesn't do anything. ProQuake 4 requires -joystick to enable the joystick. -nojoy is the default behavior. No one except Polarite uses a joystick. Maybe eventually in 2013 I'll bust out my joystick and test it against ProQuake to see if it actually works, hehe. Then again, Polarite hasn't complained so it must work.

        -nocdaudio Doesn't actually do anything either. I ditched the ability to play CD tracks somewhere around 4.26 in favor of mp3 sound tracks. I have the option to build a CD drive supporting version, but who really plays with the Quake CD in?

        -mpath Doesn't do anything. I think that's for DOS.

        -noipx Doesn't do anything. I reversed it so you have to use -ipx to enable IPX. IPX is Windows 3.1 era networking that probably no computer today supports.

        Well, I want the mouse to work as expected on all versions of Windows. So the little side discussion R00k, MH and I are having is quite useful to that end.

                    Thanks for the tips Baker. I'll remove them. I basically use the same command line and configs since 96, just kept tweaking them.

                    rev/stolen, WOW OMG WOW WHOALLY SHATS GUIS.

                    I use my PC to make my money. Working w/o precision is completely annoying. I'm also not going to switch the precision every time I start and stop playing quake. I use quake as a quick impromptu escape.

                    And, this rig only has a single intel extreme SSD 64gb drive, not in RAID. So there!
