  • New Qrack, multi monitor issue.

My Qrack is now "flickering" weirdly like on the 2nd monitor, which is annoying. My PC is always dual tasking (one monitor gaming, the other observing a movie or TV show,w/e) and it just started recently,so you can imagine how much a hinderance it has been to my Quake1 gaming *eek* there hasn't been any!

So far, only Qrack is causing this Monitor 2 flickering. I *tried* to play in window mode to avoid this, but it just isnt the same.

    Any idea's?

    GL_HWBLEND 0/1 ?

I'll hook up a second monitor and test.
You can drag a qrack window from 1 monitor to another but not full screen, btw..

      I'll try that,and yes I know I cant drag fullscreen's that isn't the issue.

I think I figured it out,but haven't had time to check, but I think it is Crossfire attempting to either Scissor method of AFR method of crossfire, and one of the signals is to the wrong monitor. I'm going to permanently disable Catalyst AI and try again today, betting this fixes it (and breaks other games for crossfire,so I forsee profiling soon )

It's specifically related to Catalyst AI. Is there anyway to specify it to disabled only when I run Qrack?Prefer it remain turned on,I'm sure many have noticed my absence in Quake lately, its because of this dilemma. Enabling and Disabling is a pain i the ass, same goes for creating profile's and swapping between them.

Avanced AI = tons of flickering on monitor 2, Qrack showing up partially on monitor 2.
Standard AI = partial flickering, much cleaner on monitor 2,but still a pita
Disabled = Qrack is fixed, but I'm not utilizing nearly as much HP in other games.

Know it sounds weird, but I too had this error in other games when I had my 4 monitor setup (32" middle, 19" on each side and 1 8" monitor). Since when I was playing a game - you couldn't use the windows on the other while playing - I just turned them off. Are the other monitors needed when you're playing Quake?
