Proquake small file size

Incoming noob question:

Im just wondering how the hell ProQuake 4 is so small!? I understand it is zipped but that is still fairly small.

Is it standalone or does it patch your existing Quake/GL Quake?

Yes. Install ProQuake to your already installed Quake folder....


It's a modern client , that uses the original files.

Anyways, I was looking at the wrong thing. I was looking at engine X.

Proquake itself is even smaller again.
