  • DirectQ error need help...

I downloaded the new directq to try to play it, Have heard alot of good things... but it wont open... instead it gives me this error ... Titled "An error has occured"
then in the middle of that error it says "Something bad has happened and DirectQ is now toast. please visit mhquake and report this crash" I did go to that site i didn't see a place to report the crash but... thats all the error says.. Any help with this will help thanks in advance. I have the latest directx, also i use nvidia gtx 295 gfx card, and recently updated drivers.

    "I have the latest directx"

Make sure you have the latest DirectX 9

Having the latest DirectX 10 or 11 does not mean DX 9 is up to date..

when i click the sticky notes - mhquake: The FIRST thing you should do if DirectQ crashes , and then click the link http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx - it redirects me to a broken page.

Try to start with a clean Quake setup; the cause is most likely something in an existing config that's causing incompatibilities. If you have any external texture PK3s there is a known problem with one of them in particular - it contains MD3 files masquerading as MDLs - that can also cause crashes. A fix for that one will be out shortly.
