No textures in Windows 7

So, it being summer and all, I'm trying to play Quake in Windows 7 for the first time. I had GLPro set up and running fine for years on XP, and transferred all my old files over to my Win 7 computer. When I try to play, this happens:


Any ideas? Please please please don't tell me I have to switch to a new client--10+ years with GLPro, and I'd probably quit Quake rather than upgrade to a newer client

use -no8bit on the commandline.
also you may wish to use -noforcemparms too as when I switched to windows 7 my mouse acceleration would kick on when using Quake.
