Best "Vanilla" QuakeWorld client

Hey!

I'm one of those people who likes to have my Quake experience as true to the original as possible with no extra graphics or any of that stuff. I really just want an updated client that works properly with modern computers.

So far I've used DirectQ for Single Player and it works great, but it doesn't seem to support QuakeWorld online play. If someone could recommend me a client like DirectQ for online play I would be greatful!

DirectQ is a Netquake client. Most of the people on this site play Netquake online, not Quakeworld. The servers listed on the homepage are all Netquake servers.

Try quakeworld.nu if you want to play QW, but QW isn't known for being true to the original afaik. EZQuake is the QW standard client, but FTEQW is also good.

ZQuake is as basic as you will get with modern features, plus it connects to netQuake servers too!
