  • DirectQ , broken to shit and back?

Whenever I open DirectQ, it keeps acting like my monitor is out of its range

I'm using 1280x1024 @ 60Hz, Desktop. I read online that DirectQ uses the same settings as the desktop, so WTF is going on here. I've tried using an entirely different Quake folder (DarkPlaces folder) and its doing the same shit.

**Fixed, I set -window mode, then manually set settings, quit quake, then removed the -window variable, and fixed. **

I still dont know wtf happened.

    Ha ha.

The video startup code is really showing it's age, isn't it? A few things went in for the last few releases, like window resizing, that have made things a wee bit fragile. It needs a rewrite, and it needs to break compatibility with the way GLQuake did it a little.

Yea I really fn broke it good last night, I was even using command line parameters.

I'm known for tinkering with stuff PROBABLY more than I should, so it was unavoidable. Then again, I found a CRIPPLING bug somewhere. -window mode was my only savior

Yeah, there are a few problems like that with certain startup modes and some mode changes. Not too sure why it happened that way for you though. Like I said, this code is badly in need of rewriting.
