  • Problem with Qrack. Cannot hit Enter to do anything or use any console commands. wtf

So hey guys started playing Quake in 1996 on a Pentium 100 when I was 14

Anyway I downloaded Qrack and it looks good but I have a weird problem.

I cannot use Enter to navigate menus or enter console command. I have to use Space to start a new game/navigate video settings, enter does nothing.

Both Space and Enter are bound to +jump.

It works just fine in plane GLQuake. I haven't tried any other source ports.

Sucks because I was going to install some bots and play some Clan Arena but I cannot use the console because I cannot press enter.

    Any ideas?

Ok I downloaded Dark Places........same thing. Except in Dark Places I can use the console but I cannot navigate the menus.

This is so weird I deleted my config.cfg files and no dice. My enter key works perfectly in windows just not in any custom Quake engines.

Again it works in GLQuake just fine.

tenebrae sucks and is VERY outdated. Maybe just unbind the enter key?

                remove any autoexec.cfgs, default.cfgs, / config.cfgs.

Load quake... it will recreate a default.cfg.

                Enter should work then.

Otherwise do what rook suggested, bind enter to nothing.

                Open console: bind enter ""
