Glquake linux

Okay. You may be asking why now im on linux. I was posting from my friends house on the darkplaces error. I know im also starting to get a little annoying.

I had recently compiled quake 1 on linux. I ran glquake_glx and it came up. Then it quit after 2 seconds. The only way i can play is if I type ./glquake_glx -nosound in the terminal. I dont know how to add -nosound to a linux executable, I can only try in the "Notes" tab.

Can you guys help me add -nosound and -window 800 600 to the glx?

I guarantee your answer(s) are within the first 5 hits. I know you have your own reasons for wanting to run Quake in Linux but, honestly, enjoy tugging your hair.

stick that into some runquake.sh file next to your glquake dir and run that shell script instead.

glquake is ugly, buggy and terrible. Differences between software rendered Quake and GLQuake - Quaddicted.com

Use Quakespasm as suggested above, it is a great engine without fancy blingbling or gameplay changes.
