Whenever the next release happens, this will be fixed if it can be.
The network code in NetQuake sucks. The next release may not feature the original NetQuake network code, which I want to kill in favor of a DarkPlaces-like system.
[The only time frame for the next release is "when it is done".]
Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.
So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

That isn't true. I appreciate the bug report and I want to know these issues.
Engine X is not final state. You happen to know I am working on a correct re-write of the NetQuake network code. I'm going to pursue the "solve the problem correctly once and for all solution".

I am a firm believer in band-aids,and I know you aren't. Probably where we differ (aside from gamer/coder).
How does Mac users bind an IP using a command line variable. That question/answer might solve the problem (I dont know,I mostly take educated guesses, never really knowing the issue just poking it til I figure it out)

Good to know because the next laptop i get will be a mac!
Mac laptops are awesome and if they didn't cost $1700, everyone should have one. I'm using a $350 Win 7 laptop right now (and it is awesome, believe it or not), so I could buy 5 of these for the price of a Mac laptop.
I think the main reason I prefer my Win 7 laptop, if I were to drop or somehow damage my Macbook Pro ... yikes! Not that this is likely to happen ... but this $350 laptop, well, it would suck if it got hurt but @ $350 certainly wouldn't be the end of the world.
So oddly enough, the price is why I enjoy my Win 7 laptop. In most other ways, I prefer my Macbook Pro. The touchpad on a Mac is unbelievable in ways that is difficult to imagine to a Windows-only user and lets you do some nice things easy (again, impossible for any Windows-only user to relate to).

I went to best buy last year in august 2011, stumbled across a nice dell, for $799.99 including 2 year warranty. I went to check out and she said to me $288.70 was my total. I said, thats not right it said $799.99 w/2yr wrnty. After calling the manager over and squaring things up the manager advised me they were discontinuing this item 'laptop' and price was $259.99. They had 2 left so i bought both for me & wife. Freaking awsome! So now when i go to best buy i always ask for the discontinued items list and the manager gives me a copy and i go stupid dropping a grand or two.

Well ... isn't Best Buy going out of business?
