    also how do i edit the animation? is there just a few stuff i put in and bam or do i need to know what to put in and where and i dont just put in the q1 animations or what? i am a noob at this stuff so if you dont get what i am sayin than you know.

        if you want to stick them together, you will generally need to edit the models themselves.

        DP and FTE engines support some extension that can do it in qc code. Google for the 'q1md3' mod, I think it was. This of course is quite invasive and requires specific mods.
        CSQC can also be used in these engines to move the work clientside, and my csqctest mod does that, but its not exactly release quality.

        I vaugely recall something about qrack doing the attachments automatically somehow. A quick look at the code reveals that if you set gl_loadq3models, the engine will use 'progs/player/head.md3' 'progs/player/upper.md3' and 'progs/player/lower.md3' instead of the regular player model. It'll also fix up player frames for you too. It doesn't support shaders though, so you're limited somewhat in which player models will still look right (ranger should be fine), and I have no idea what the heck it does about the different scale between the two games.
        I've not personally tried it as I'm too lazy, so your milage may vary. Complain at qrack's creator if you have issues (other than the aforementioned textures). *grin*

        Other engines might support q3 models, but as far as I'm aware they provide no support for tags at all, which means no player models.

          ^^ What he said. Though, Qrack does work better with an .md3 player model with out the multiple head-torso-legs, such as moo's player model. It also will support team skins for that model. I tried getting team-skins for the ranger working but got tired from the lack of success. Moo's model though is kinda fubar'd as for the axe frames and death frames. I always found it curious why someone would spend the time to make and animate a model up to 98% then just ditch the project without any means to update. I had converted th emodel to mdl duplicated the working frames, reconverted it back to md3 but now the team skins were broke
          Oh well.

          edit: found out exporting back to md3 renamed the skin to skin0 so it works but now id have to remap the skin to fit the model

            This way you do not need to fiddle with model editing, or anything else.
            Every engine that supports .md3 can use that model.
            As mentioned before, if you want you can also try Ruohis�s player model if you have the time. Then choose which one to use.

              thanks guys! i have used moos player model, ruohis, and i got ranger working. except that the skins will not appear. i tried renaming the skins, etc. plz help!

                          i think jenny is for darkplaces, john is for vanilla, billy for qrack, rocky for fte, stephen for tenebrae and lucy for telejano hahahaha
