I wanted to include the soundtrack on my netbook in ProQuake, so I imported the CD into iTunes and copied the MP3s into ID1/music. But music doesn't play, when I use "mp3" console command it says "mp3" command is unknown.

Although Baker states that it should work:

Maybe I have a wrong/old version? Which one should I use?

I think he yanked out mp3 support awhile ago. You prolly need an older version

Oh, obviously I don't have that. I have ProQuake+ which works fine, except no MP3-Soundtrack.
            ProQuake 4 crashes on startup.

The error message I get with ProQuake is, that it can't switch to fullscreen. All I can do is push the "Ok" button, which closes the program.

The netbook is an Asus eeePC 4G, WinXP SP2, DirectX 9. I tried updating to the newest drivers, but it didn't change anything.
I'll try running PQ in windowed mode to see if it works at all.

I tried every client I could find now and the only ones that work so far are the old ProQuake+ and Darkplaces. But DP takes ages to load on the tiny machine and the framerate drops the moment an enemy appears (and it's packed with features I don't need).

                  EDIT:
It works in windowed mode, but it also doesn't know the mp3-command, so there's no reason to use it.
