Afternoon all,
Forgive the newbie question but I have had a little free time on my hands recently and have been trying to dip my toe in the water of Quake Mapping. To add a little realism to a map I wondered what the process was for taking an image (bmp, gif, jpg) and then converting it in to a format I can use within a map to produce a picture, texture or whatever else takes my fancy. I seem to recall someone mentioning that the pallette has to be changed to something more Quake friendly but if anyone has any helpful suggestions (cough, peg, cough
) on how this is accomplished I would be grateful if you could pm me or post them in this thread.
Kind regards
Monty
