  • Gore Zones like in Soldier of Fortune?

    Hello.
Anybody already have working Gore Zones, like those in Soldier of Fortune? In any game based on Quake one engine? I was using DarkPlaces, but dont really know how to start with Gore Zones.
If i made separately models for Hands, legs etc it will look...em...shitty a bit. I dont know how to make it. Any ideas?

You can use MD3 (Quake 3 model) and define tags to "link" the parts. Then you can create an entity for each part and attach all parts together.

Yes, you must made separately parts. You can use Blender and create all things in the same view so you can see all together in the places (forming the entire model) and animate all things there.

I guess you can use zym models to do it better (it support skeletal animation). And as I know it too support tags.
dpm and iqm too are good options (model file formats), but I don't know if that supports tags (I guess yes).

    Some link for modeling:
