    Frenzy had made a statement in another thread that the HeadHunters Quake source code has vanished off the face of the planet.

    I did a lot of Googling around and searching, and while there were references to the source file, they weren't on the internet. The source is "available upon request" -- haha, from an email address that is sure to be 8 years obsolete

    I asked Yugo2Heck if he had the source since he has a HeadHunters server (lab.ihoc.net:26005) and he found that he had the source for HeadHunters 1.0 and actually has the source to HeadHunters/Artifact-RJS, a hybrid made by Chuck.

    I feel better knowing a very well-known mod's source code isn't gone forever, and the discovery of Chuck's Headhunters/Rune Quake hybrid was a nice suprise

    (Chuck's hard drive and web file host both were coincidentally wiped within a single week last year, the first by hard drive failure and the 2nd by an Essentrix server failure, destroying a great many of his huge list of creations).

    /Artifact-RJS is the immediate predecessor to Rune Quake.

    I have the HeadHunters 3.0 Source code from years ago. Here is the actual content of the readme file inside it.

      Also, I have pretty much every mod/file for Quake 1 ever created. So if anyone is looking for something rare then let me know and I probably have it.

                    What kind of compiler should I use?
                    I tried the FTE QuakeC compiler, but it reported alot of errors.
                    Some help would be very appreciated.

                      FrikQCC is well known for it's wide compatibility. FrikQCC 2.5 (in Downloads-> Developer) compiles almost any original QuakeC mod.

                        FrikQCC and FTEqcc are the best choices really. If you have questions specifically pertaining to them or qc code, head over to www.inside3d.com and into the forums, FrikaC and Spike, the authors of both compilers respectively, are there, as are many many other coders who can help you.

                          It appears that Head Hunters Source for V3.0 has once again disappeared from the earth.

                          Does anyone still have it?

                            It is quite safe. Sometime within the next 24 hours I will finish repopulating the download section here. I started doing it early today.

                            Our downloads section was broken due to 2 CMS upgrades but Solecord fixed it and I hadn't taken the time to rebuild it until lately.
