HELP! The Mod On My Server

Can someone (Experienced) help me with putting a new mod on my server? The guys at fatpipes set it up with an old version of ca (caplus) I want to put on the newest version but Im afraid I might mess something up.

With Fatpipe Servers (I have used them before, #1 in my book) you have the option of using FTP to access the Quake folder on the server, from there you can do light work like add/delete & edit files etc... In order to get your CAPlus mod on the server you upload the CAPlus mod to its own folder within the Quake folder (Quake\caplus) and put the mod files in the caplus folder.

Once thats done you might need a fancy command line to get things working the way you want. I did this by filling out a "Ticket" from the Fatpipe Server control panel and letting them know what I wanted the commandline changed to.

If you need anymore help let Baker or myself know. Baker has used the Fatpipe control panel before also and he can probably explain what needs to be done in greater detail then I can.

Also. How Can I Go About Getting A DNS For This Server?

Send a private message to Solecord (something.quakeone.com) or to Jackhole (something.quake1.net) and I'm sure one of them would be happy to help you out with a DNS.

Be sure to send the ip address in the message.
