Hello, I just started a few new public servers that I wanted to spread the word about and I was wondering how I could get them added to the quakeone.com servers list.
The domain name for the servers is quake.oarie.net which may not yet work but should within the next 24 hours. In the mean time the IP address is 209.51.237.147.
Port - Mod
26000 - OrangeModules CTF (serverModules Enhanced)
26001 - 3WaveCTF
26002 - DeathMatch
If any of these servers see significant use I will re-create the old http://quake.oarie.net/ website complete with stats. I make this commitment because I am doubtful that any of these servers will see such significant usage but I am hopeful that they do. It will then be up to the users to get me off my laZy butt to come through on that promise.
I believe this to be the only orangeModules server around which was what brought me to bringing my old servers back online. They have been down since around 2002 and when I came across my quake cd the other day I just had to reinstall. I tried looking everywhere for the orangeModules mod but I could not find it anywhere. I could not even find a serverModules server which was the much more popular mod that orangeModules was based off of. The closest I came to finding either of them were dead links to supposed download sites for them, mostly pointing to serverModules.
Well I had an old Zip disk with all of my old quake one goodies still on it so I'm in hopes there are others like myself who were hoping to play this mod. I also enjoyed straight DeathMatch and threewave ctf so I brought those back to life as well. These were very popular servers from 1997 through 2000 and lost popularity along side quake I with the release of quake II. I kept the servers online for a couple more years but eventually after months and months of going unused I took them down for good up until now.
I hope you enjoy these new servers. Any questions please ask.
