can't select items in 3d view

For some reason I cannot select items in my 3D textured polygons view using Worldcraft. I'm using the selection tool and have not problems selecting items in the other views (2D top/side)

It's strange since I can do this with no problems at home, but my other machine won't allow it. I have not changed any settings on either machine.


Any ideas?

Well, if you select the <-- arrow icon then u can select objects. Though, in my version 1.6 of WC i cant select objects in 3d view either. Maybe this is a newer feature in an updated version that u might have on the other machine?

Personally WC is nice but the new BSP.exe at BSP Headquarters i've found simple and very useful, oh and its free and u can select objects in 3d view with it

Try to go Desktop -> Preferences -> Params (last page, I have russificated win) -> Advanced -> Diagnostic (another last) and kickdown 1-2 points of acceleration. It must helps.


Otherway download and put to you WC folder this file (unzip it before )

It is an ATI and the machine it works on is NVIDIA.

Uncheck hardware acceleration in tools -> options -> 3d views. Restart Worldcraft and you should be able to select objects within the 3d view.

I did not find that option, but I did find a fix for it!

Well that's good news you found a fix for it. Although you never stated which version of Worldcraft you use. Are you using version 1.6 or 3.3?
